Since her early university days, Michelle has learnt the art of juggling. Study, socialising, travel and work; a skill has served her well as a lawyer, wife and mother.
While studying law and commerce, she worked for a professional accounting firm servicing a broad range of clients. She hit the ground running and hasn’t stopped.
In 2003 with a commerce degree under her belt, Michelle took a gap ‘year’ (well 4 actually) working and travelling abroad. Based in London Michelle joined a mid-tier firm working as a marketing
In late 2007 Michelle returned to Adelaide, completed her law degree and worked for the two (2) Davids at ‘Black Cleland’. Over there she did it all! From reception, to bookkeeper, to office manager and then as a law clerk. She learnt more about being a lawyer, than she did from university.
After being admitted in 2011, Michelle left the nest of Black Cleland to join Lynch Meyer, consolidating her knowledge in building and construction. After a few years away on maternity leave, Michelle then joined FBR Law with David Black and David Cleland. She loves the vibe at FBR Law and enjoys working with such a talented and close knit team.
Capacity and Service Levels
Michelle is committed, responsive and provides first class service. She is dedicated with a strong work ethic. She knows that litigation can be overwhelming and daunting – which is why she talks clients through the litigation process and keeps them in the loop.
You wouldn’t know it from her output, but Michelle is presently ‘part time’. Of course that doesn’t mean she only works 3 days a week, because she keeps her finger on the work pulse every day.
Michelle’s experience is focused on the building and construction sector. It’s served her well when educating her sons about diggers, dump trucks and Lego buildings.
